Schengen expands to eastern countries Based on a desicion of the EU Council, the Schengen-zone for passport-free traveling have been extended in December 2007 to Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Korea could join the US Visa Waiver program in 2009 Roughly 400,000 South Koreans apply for U.S. visas each year, with an average visa refusal rate at around 3.5 percent. Seoul and Washington discussed the South Korean option to join the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). "It will take some time. This new design 50 MYR banknote is the first denomination of the Fourth Series of Malaysian currency notes which will be replacing the existing series in stages.
