Scottish banknotes Will be refusing Scottish banknotes illegal in UK?
There are Scottish banknotes worth nearly 3billion pounds in circulation and some of English shops, restaurants and petrol stations are refusing to accept them. Tanzania money Tanzanian currency stolen while transported from Germany
34 million Shillings in calibrated bills was stolen while being brought from Germany to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Bank of Tanzania contracted a German company to print its new Sh2,000 denomination notes, being part of a plan to replace the current notes in circulation. The BoT Governor, Prof Benno Ndulu, said that "current state of affairs in the country had necessitated the decision to change the notes." read more

Emiratis ID Card 98% of Emiratis complete ID card registration
Emiratis must have an ID card for government transactions from 1st April 2009. Al Qasimi said: "There was no plan to extend the deadline or exempt the fine of Dh1,000 for Emiratis who have not registered." read more




Gemalto Belgium Reinforces Childrens Protection as Part of National eID Program
The program consists of a dedicated eID card for children aged under 12 with specific features intended to increase their security in emergency situations. This roll-out follows a decision from the Belgian government dated December 19, 2008. read more
