New coin replacing the 1,000 peso note in October Central Bank of Columbia have announced the launch of a new 1,000 peso coin to replace the current bill. New notes in Congo Democratic Republic According to an article on Le Potentiel dated 6 June 2012, the Banque Centrale du Congo plans to issue new 1,000-, 5,000-, and 10,000-franc notes on 2 July 2012, with face values of US$1.10, $5.40, and $11, respectively. The Central Bank of Myanmar has put currency notes of 10,000 kyat denomination into circulation on the 15 June 2012. All existing currency notes and coins would carry on as legal tender. From the 23 July 2012 new commemorative notes will come into circulation in Jamaica. New banknotes were launch to celebrate the 50th year of Jamaica`s political independence. The 100-dollar banknote, the most widely-used denomination, is printed on a material known as Hybrid, a combination of protective polyester film layered around a cotton fibre core. The cotton core will continue to be embedded with the usual security features, such as watermark and security thread, to ensure that the banknote remains secure against counterfeiting. New banknotes confirmed - Malawi
New banknotes confirmed - Malawi The Reserve Bank of Malawi issued new banknotes on 23 May 2012. The bank is replacing the old denominations 10-500 kwacha and adding a new 1,000 kwacha note with its founding president Ngwazi Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda`s face. The new notes, printed by De La Rue are much smaller in size than the current notes. Old notes will circulate in parallel until 22 May 2013, at which time they will cease to be legal tender. New issued banknotes in Bosna and Hercegovina
New issued banknotes in Bosna and Hercegovina The Central Bank of Bosna and Hercegovina have informed the public that new issued banknotes in denominations of BAM 10, 20, 50 and 100 were put into circulation on the 1 June, 2012. The new banknotes replaces the banknotes in circulation from the previous issues, which have been withdrawn from circulation over the past years, due to their worn out condition. Banknotes from the previous issues, whose quality is satisfactory in accordance with the CBBH standards, will remain in circulation as the legal tender. The main characteristic of the new KM banknotes is improved paper quality and the security features providing the quality and durability, and protection against counterfeiting at the same level of quality as the European banknotes have.
