euro banknotes Euro Counterfeits Network disrupted in Poland
27 people, distributing mainly 50 and 100 euro counterfeit banknotes through European countries, were arrested in Poland in april. Total amount of these counterfeits is still not known but is estimated to several thousands. read more

AirFrance Biometric passports law - upheld by the Romanian authorities
The opponents of Romanian biometric passports are still arguing that its breaching the rights provided by the Constitution of Romania, the right to private life and the right to religion. The head of the General Division of passports Aurel-Vasile Sime stated, that these new passports would not be mandatory and the Romanian citizens will be able to choose temporary passports valid for one year that do not include biometric elements. read more




Passport Canada Canadians living in the U.S. will require new travel document
As of June 1, 2009, Canadian citizens will be required to present a valid passport, a NEXUS or Free and Secure Trade (FAST) card, or an enhanced driver's licence/enhanced identification card when seeking to enter the United States at its land or water crossings. read more
