Bank of Canada began to issue its First Canadian Polymer Bank Note on the 14 November 2011. The new $100 note, as Governor Carney said, is an important step toward significantly increasing the security of Canada`s bank notes. Uganda may start issuing 100,000-shilling note
The Central Bank of Uganda may consider issuing 100,000 shilling notes due to the rising of inflation rates in the country. It was said that the dual circulation of old and new bank notes issued in 2010 has absolutely no relationship with the current inflation levels. There is no deadline for phasing out the circulation of the old banknotes. Uganda is progressively replacing the old series in circulation with new series banknotes. Read more ...
