On the 28 November 2013 the Central bank of Tunisia has issued a new 10 dinar note. There are numerous security features added like intaglio printing, watermarks, a holographic strip, latent images, micro-letters, metallic parts, Omron circles and iridescent ink.

Moldova new 200-leu commemorative note
On the 29 November 2013 the National Bank of Moldova put into circulation a commemorative coin and 200-lei banknote on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Moldovan currency. The commemorative 200-lei banknote is similar to the currently used cash notes. The single difference is the additional inscription "20 years" and the signature of the incumbent President of the National Bank of Moldova Dorin Dragutanu.

New commemorative note in Sri Lanka
On the 15 November 2013 the Central Bank of Sri Lanka began to issue slightly modified new commemorative 500-rupee notes, commemorating the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting held in Sri Lanka from 15 to 17 November 2013.

According to a press release dated 26 November 2013, the European Central Bank will unveil its new Europa series 10-euro note on 13 January 2014 and issue the note later in the year.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced its intention to revert to paper from polymer for its banknote substrate. The polymer notes easily fade out because of their peculiar hot climate in Nigeria.

New 100-dollar note confirmed
On the 8 October 2013, after years of delay, the United States Federal Reserve Bank finally issued its new 100-dollar note dated 2009 A and signed by Timothy F. Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury and Rosie Gumataotao rios as Treasurer of the United States. The note features many new security enhancements, most noticeable of which is the Motion windowed security thread.

Lebanon New 50,000-livre commemorative note
On the 22 November 2013 new 50,000-livre commemorative note was issued in Lebanon. It is commemorating 70 years of independence from French. This is a limited edition issue of 50,000 notes, with two prefixes printed ie normal D/00 and replacement prefix of D/99.

New e-passport for Somaliland
By early 2014 the old handwritten passport will be soon replaced by an electronic, the Somaliland`s Interior Minister told State Television in an exclusive interview. "Budget for replacing the old handwritten passport was included in this year's annual budget which was recently approved by members of House of Representatives."

Bangladesh - guideline for a new passport
Bangladesh High Commission in Ottawa has been issuing Machine Readable Passport (MRP) since April 2012. As per government rule, they encourage Bangladesh citizens to apply for Machine Readable Passport. After 2014 the existing hand written passport will not remain valid for travel.
